1 Year Anniversary
A Big Hello!
Yay! One year of www.kraftersattic.com !! it’s actually unbelievable, already a year. It seems like only a few days back, we were figuring out the design for our website, content format, delivery partners, etc. and today, here we are. What a remarkable journey it has been for me personally, learning about different functions and roles, directly on the job.
Today I want to talk about this one-year-old journey. I started off with a simple idea and took baby steps towards executing this idea. Confident in the idea, I kept moving ahead, crossing many hurdles on the way. A big thanks to my family who always encouraged me to explore and gave full support. A special shout out to my brother Siddharth, who gave shape to my ideas and brought it to life on the website.
The entire website was designed and uploaded during the Covid 19 pandemic and the lockdown period. During this time, the entire team was co-ordinating from different cities, clicking pictures, making folders, writing content, uploading to the servers etc. Looking at the final result, anyone would find it difficult to believe that right from inception to design to uploading, the team did not meet physically even once!
A lot happened during this one year since the website went live. We were overwhelmed with the initial response we received, despite the COVID-19 situation. There were hiccups, especially due to the pandemic and the resultant lockdown situation; but we successfully navigated through these times. Today we can look upon those times with great satisfaction.
One section of the website almost defied the slowdown viz. the Replica Creation. We kept receiving order after order and we kept executing them, improving from project to project. A lot of credit for this good work goes to my very talented colleague Gayatri, a god gifted talent. She is a real artist, who continues to amaze me with her creativity. Here are some of memorable projects done this year.
But what ultimately kept us going was your support and I sincerely would like to thank all of you. You are the real pillars of this website and you are the ones who will take this art forward. Your messages of support and appreciation motivate me so much and make me feel I am on the right track!
Online training of this complex art was always going to be a dicey thing; but all my learners picked up so well. I am so proud and happy that I have been able to share my knowledge with many others and have helped inspire many new artists, who I am sure will make their mark someday.
To sum it up, it has been an eventful and happening year. Yet, many plans for the website had to be put on hold, due to the constraints of the pandemic. Hopefully, we have seen the worst of the pandemic and can now look forward to better times. We have lots of exciting plans for the website, as also about the introduction of new courses and products. You all can look forward to very interesting and exciting times ahead here on this website.
