Hello Krafters!
If you are reading my first blog, I consider you to be a Krafter in your own special way. You must be a person who loves art and my work made you curious to know more. Or you might be just starting your journey in crafts, or you might be a passionate artist, or you might even be my beloved competitor wanting to know what I am offering in the world of crafts.
It’s an honor for me to see you exploring my content. Whatever your motivation, I assure you that you will find many new things which you will love to try.
Everyone is welcome to Krafter’s Attic, home for all art lovers!
My journey started 10 years back. The initial part wasn’t easy – it involved branded raw materials, expensive crafting tools, which anyways didn’t work for bulk orders – it felt like exploring an expensive hobby rather than a career. It was only when I started using my own creativity, researched alternatives to branded raw materials, and broke away from the path laid down by established “Crafters” …did I start making some headway on my journey.
Putting my creativity to work, I started offering customized hand-crafted products for various occasions, which was very successful. After a lot of hard work, I started doing very well in products for baby shower, weddings, home décor, and corporate gifting. And all this while, I kept experimenting with the materials. The biggest turning point was when I came across clay. I was amazed at the endless possibilities this material had – I could create anything with it. Clay changed my crafting business completely and today my most popular product is Photo Replica Work, wherein I re-create a photograph in 3D Clay model. This Is my original art form; it kept evolving order after order.
The story of Photo replica product is also interesting. As they say, necessity is the mother of inventions and yes the best products are born because of your own needs. It was my 14th anniversary and I ran out of ideas of what to gift on this special occasion. I was working with clay for my bulk orders from quite some time, knew its endless possibilities, and I got this idea of recreating my favorite memory. And magic happened!! I actually discovered another God’s gift to me, something I was not aware of. I discovered my true passion and believe me, my life changed forever.
Obviously, as with all hand-crafted products, there is a limitation on the number of projects I can handle in a month. I am booked for many months in advance and have to refuse more orders. This is how the idea of website integrated online training was born – Why not train other people who can do the same work as I am doing?? All hurdles of distance, time management, availability of raw materials especially in smaller towns, is taken care of through this platform. People from different cities can learn this art at their own pace, in their own space.
If you can relate to the initial phase of my career, my courses are for you. Try Krafter’s clay, which is a very unique product developed with a lot of research. It’s not Thai clay which I find very hard to work with nor is polymer clay which requires baking. Krafter’s clay is light, soft, and air-dry. Practical knowledge that I am imparting about Krafter’s clay will be of help to budding artists. My aim is to make learning easy. All my techniques are self-evolved and I have really made very complex things easier. Step by step I will introduce more complex courses, but start learning ABC before you plan to do Ph.D. My methodology is simple, you have to learn basics, only then you can move ahead with complex work. Enroll now for the Introductory course and become part of my growing family of Krafter’s.
Courses and raw materials required for this craft are the first things to be available on the site, I am so excited about it, about this whole idea overall! This is something I really want to do and finally, things are really happening.
Stay tuned to this space and keep exploring your talents. Stay curious, Stay Alive!
